Sam Powell

Owner, PT, DPT, OCS, MDT cert.

Sam is a Mainer and recent father of twins with his wife, Kate. He obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New England in 2011.  Prior to joining Continuum, Sam worked in an outpatient orthopedic practice in Colorado Springs, CO.  Sam is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Orthopedic Section. He recently achieved his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification, as well as his certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Mckenzie Method). Sam specializes in Myofascial Trigger Point Needling and he is planning to continue his credentialing in Mulligan Concept. Sam has a strong interest in prevention and treatment of athletic injuries.

 

Kim Gallagher

Owner, PT, MPT

Kim is one of the founders of Continuum Physical Therapy. She received a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia in 2001.  She has practiced in multiple settings, including acute inpatient rehabilitation, home care, outpatient rehabilitation, and skilled nursing.  Kim is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association including the Maine Chapter and the Private Practice Section.  She has obtained credentialing in advanced vestibular rehabiliation through Emory University and the American Physical Therapy Association. She is also an LSVT BIG certified clinician.

 Mark Lewis

PT, MPT

Mark joined the practice in August of 2015 after serving as clinical director and lead Physical Therapist for 13 years at Downeast Rehabilitation Associates in Rockport, ME. Mark brings over 16 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, with interests in manual therapy, various taping techniques, exercise, and Trigger Point Dry Needling. Mark also established an outpatient PT clinic on Islesboro which he maintains weekly. Originally from Connecticut and raised here in Rockland, Mark received his Masters Degree from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia, and worked in outpatient and inpatient clinics in both Hagerstown and Frederick Maryland, before coming home in 2002.  Mark is an avid musician who is a member of several community musical organizations, enjoys hiking, and is obsessed with all things from Scotland and New Orleans.

 

Krista Mathieu

PT, DPT

Krista is a Maine native and 2018 Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate from Husson University. Her and her husband, Brian, recently settled in the Whitefield area and are busy raising their 2 year old baby boy. Krista is passionate about health & wellness, and loves participating in outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, running, and biking. She enjoys treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, and working to promote injury prevention. She is looking forward to expanding her skill set with with future specialization in functional dry needling, women’s health and sports rehab.

 

Casey Maguire

PT

Casey moved to Maine full time in June of 2022. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience along with strong skills as a manual therapist. He adds particular expertise in the treatment and prevention of sports related injuries. He has worked with a multitude of amateur and professional athletes, including work with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Amgen Tour of California. Casey holds a Physical Therapy degree from California State University Long Beach. He is a contributing writer for Triathlete magazine, performs functional bicycle fittings, and continues to compete in cycling races.  In his free time, Casey enjoys cycling, golfing, and any active time spent with his 5 children.

 

Nick Black

PTA

Originally from Aberdeen, Scotland, Nick Black is a Physical Therapist Assistant with 9 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He holds an undergraduate degree in Sports Science from the University of Stirling and a PTA certification from North Shore Community College in Danvers, MA.

Now living in Lincolnville, Maine with his wife and two children, Nick is passionate about helping patients recover from orthopedic injuries and return to their active lives. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying active.

 

Kara Hebert

PTA

Kara started as a student here at Continuum PT prior to joining the team in 2019. She graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Kennebec Valley Community College. She is certified as, and is currently working as, a certified surgical technologist. She has experience in geriatincs and skilled nursing. She has an interest in strength training, balance training, and orthopedics. Kara likes to keep therapy sessions fun while helping you to achieve your goals.

 

Jody Pease Anderson

Office Manager/ Biller

Jody joined Continuum in September of 2015. Jody served as Physical Therapy Aide at Downeast Rehabilitation Associates in Rockport, ME, prior to joining our practice. Jody graduated from the University of Maine Augusta with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and a certificate in Gerontology. Jody brings years of customer service experience. She has taken over in house billing over the last couple of years.

 Rebecca Cunningham

Rebecca Linder, PTA

Rebecca Linder is a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with a broad background in orthopedic and brain injury rehabilitation. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapy from Kennebec Valley Community College in 2018, following a Bachelor's in Marine Biology from the University of New England.

Currently working at Continuum Physical Therapy, Rebecca provides compassionate, patient-focused care to individuals recovering from a range of orthopedic condition. Her clinical experience, which includes work at Sheepscot Bay Physical Therapy and the Maine Center for Integrated Rehab, allows her to effectively support patients through their rehabilitation journey.

Outside of her professional life, Rebecca is a busy mother raising two young children. She enjoys balancing family life with staying active and fostering a positive, healthy lifestyle. Her ability to manage both career and family life reflects her strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

 

Silas Crosby

PT, DPT

Silas Crosby, DPT

Silas Crosby is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a strong passion for musculoskeletal health, particularly in the areas of hand and wrist rehabilitation. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New England, where he gained extensive knowledge in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions.

Silas has a special interest in powerlifting and arm wrestling, which fuels his drive to help athletes optimize performance and recover from sports-related injuries. His expertise extends to the treatment of hand and wrist injuries, where he combines clinical skill with a deep understanding of functional movement and strength.

Outside of the clinic, Silas is an avid powerlifter and arm wrestling enthusiast, continuously applying his own experience to refine his approach to rehabilitation and performance training.

Silas is committed to helping patients of all backgrounds return to full function and achieve their goals, whether in sports or daily life.
